Good news: libavg is fully integrated into the new Ubuntu Natty and supports completely seamless multitouch on it. Just apt-get install python-libavg and you'll have the newest release of libavg ready to use on your computer.

Our multitouch games are also available as packages for Natty via a ppa.

The libavg website has received a complete overhaul. Things should be much easier to find and the layout is more modern and a lot clearer. I've also spent some time clearing up the documentation. Since it's based on trac, the ticket system and source control integration are much better now. There's also a new blog which we'll use to post news about libavg development.
